A Day in the Life

These are pictures of our plumbers replacing a water service recently. The water service that was currently in place was shared between two homes. We replaced it so they each have their own service. All of this you see in the photos was dug by hand. A typical day in the life of our hard working plumbers!

Water Heater Talk

This muck is what is at the bottom of most water heaters!

Unless your have placed a filter on your hot water, you should never drink hot water directly from the tap or cook with it.

It would seem logical that using the hot water to cook with would speed up the cooking process, but it’s best to be safe and just not do it. Having your heater flushed regularly and keeping it well maintained is a must!

As always, give us a call and we will be happy to help!

We were very pleased with the service, workmanship, and promptness of the repair. This was in a wall, in a precarious place, and they did a great job of keeping the repair in the wall small while repairing the pipe. We will definitely use them again with any other plumbing needs.

What an amazing experience – making the appointment was so easy, they were able to work with my schedule. I received a courtesy call when they were on the way – service team was prompt, professional and found the problem very quickly. Repair was done quickly and services were very reasonably priced. Excellent value! Excellent customer service!
I highly recommend Cain’s Able Plumbing.

I have used CAP several different times. The 1st was to install new hose bibs and water hydrant, the 2nd was to connect to city water. Both experiences were great and they answered all of my questions. No one works for free but there pricing is fair for everyone! I am going to hook to city sewer soon and I will be call CAP to do the job! I highly recommend not wasting time getting multiple quotes just call them now!

The old copper pipes, in my house, needed replaced because of continuous leaks. I also needed my electric water heater replaced and a new water filtration system installed. Most of the quotes I received were well over $10,000 from other plumbers. Cain’s Able plumbing came out and looked over my plumbing situation and said they would replace all of my copper pipes with pex, install a new water heater, and install the water filtration system (which I had to purchase) for UNDER $4000. I am so glad I found these guys. They were very professional and showed up right on time. They went over and above to provide exceptional service. I would highly recommend these guys and no, I am not related to them.😀

We Are Here For You

Last week we went out to replace a sewer line in a crawl space and basement. We rerouted two sewer lines out of the side and front of the home. We also cut and removed the concrete to install the new lines to the city and then reinstalled the concrete. It was a tough job, but our guys are always up for the challenge when it comes to helping out our customers!

They not only installed a new water heater, they did it quickly and efficiently. They also fixed three leaky faucets while waiting for the old heater to drain. Best part of it all? They did it literally for a fraction of what I had been left to believe it would cost. And in two hours flat! I would recommend this company to everyone needing a plumber…and have.

Cain’s did an excellent kitchen drain repair job at my father’s home. They gave us a fair estimate and the actual bill for the work was slightly less than their quote. They called before arriving and arrived on time. We plan to use them for future plumbing needs.

When the Challenge is over Water

A month ago, we were called out to repair a sewer line. Usually in our line of work, that’s pretty common. What was uncommon about this project, was that we had to bring the sewer across a ravine, at the bottom of which, there was a creek.

This was something that was definitely going to be a challenge. Even a little daunting. But hey! We’re Cain’s, and we were ready to tackle it. It’s what we do! Even the City of Concord employee didn’t doubt us.

As you can see, we completed this project excellently. It took some planning and teamwork, but we are really happy with the results and so were our customers. On to the next one!

“FLUSHABLE” Wipes

There is no such thing as a “FLUSHABLE” wipe.
Manufacturers of baby wipes will often indicate on the packaging that the product is “flushable.” Plumbing experts say there’s no such thing as a flushable wipe. Because wipes don’t break down in water, they can clog up plumbing systems in a home, and damage pipes and machinery at wastewater treatment plants.

https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/columbinewsd/news/flushable-wipes-are-not

With the Covid-19 outbreak and the shortage of toilet paper, consumers have turned to sanitary wipes under many brands to take care of personal hygiene when it comes to using the bathroom. Unfortunately most folks take the packaging at it’s word and flush this wipes in the toilet. This is wreaking havoc with sanitary sewer systems everywhere. Cain’s recently went to a customers home to clear a main sewer line blockage. The sewer line was full of 100’s of sanitary wipes. It took hours to remove them, and made for a bill that could have been completely avoided, if the wipes had been disposed of in another way.

So, how do we dispose of these wipes if we can’t flush them? Here are a couple of suggestions.

https://www.today.com/series/one-small-thing/are-flushable-wipes-really-flushable-t151945

As you can see by the image above, while toilet paper fully breaks down, sanitary wipes do not. This is after 1 year of being inside the jars. Please take a moment to think about it before you flush wipes down the sewer. Even if it isn’t going to cost you money, in the end, it is going to cost someone money. That’s easy to avoid. Just don’t flush anything except human waste and toilet paper in the toilet.
