Whole house water filtration system. What are they? Why are they beneficial?

What is a whole house filtration system? These systems are salt free filtration systems that use a sediment filter along with a water conditioner and UV light that filters water and kills bacteria that can come from a well system.

How are these beneficial? These systems remove contaminants like chlorine, lead, pesticides, and bacteria from your water. They also make your water safer to drink and to cook with. Did you know that they can also improve the texture of your hair and reduce your skin’s exposure to irritants from the water?

These systems are also less maintenance than a salt system! Whole house water filtration systems do not have a brine discharge so there is no need for a drain near the install location. Look at the picture below. This is an Aquasana filtration system that we installed just last week for one of our customers.

Rerouting back wash? No problem!

A customer wanted his water softener to flow into the woods instead of the septic or the ground next to the house. Why did he decide to make this change? He had discovered that the discharge was killing the grass. Did you know that discharge can also affect your septic system? This water could kill beneficial bacteria that is in your septic tank. Look at the pictures below. As you can see this required a lot of digging for our guys, but of course they are always up for the challenge.

They not only installed a new water heater, they did it quickly and efficiently. They also fixed three leaky faucets while waiting for the old heater to drain. Best part of it all? They did it literally for a fraction of what I had been left to believe it would cost. And in two hours flat! I would recommend this company to everyone needing a plumber…and have.

Cain’s did an excellent kitchen drain repair job at my father’s home. They gave us a fair estimate and the actual bill for the work was slightly less than their quote. They called before arriving and arrived on time. We plan to use them for future plumbing needs.

When the Challenge is over Water

A month ago, we were called out to repair a sewer line. Usually in our line of work, that’s pretty common. What was uncommon about this project, was that we had to bring the sewer across a ravine, at the bottom of which, there was a creek.

This was something that was definitely going to be a challenge. Even a little daunting. But hey! We’re Cain’s, and we were ready to tackle it. It’s what we do! Even the City of Concord employee didn’t doubt us.

As you can see, we completed this project excellently. It took some planning and teamwork, but we are really happy with the results and so were our customers. On to the next one!
